After level 70, go do the PoF HP's and you'll get not only the HP's you need for an E-Spec, but also more than enough Exp to hit level 80. An alternative is using exp boosters (Notably, one that has the increased Kill Streaks bonus) and killing enemies that are either Neutral (Yellow name) or 4-6 levels above you.
Personally I hate maps that wear crap gear & skip bosses. They don't do bosses because most people are wearing crap gear and thus it takes too long to kill bosses. If folks are using the lab to level (sure go for it whatever), the constant knockbacks from leveling up is annoying, but a few people with pulls should hopefully regroup mobs.
