Lazise is a short walk along the beach and is a gorgeous town with some lovely restaurants and shops. Definitely try out the restaurant on the left just inside the castle walls (coming from the beach). We visited a number of places on Lake Garda and Lasize seemed to be the most charming by far and a great base.
